THE LEGEND LIVES ON

Many Fortin amps have achieved legendary status over the years - but only one has had players constantly talking, constantly chasing and constantly looking to recreate the legendary tone.

We want players to be able to find that tone from their own rig, be able to drop the NATAS pedal in and feel the brutal power, absolute articulation and depth of gain that made the NATAS amp the legend it is.

The NATAS is a staggering feat of engineering, a sound and response never experienced from a gain pedal - cascading gain stages, a perfectly placed 3 band active EQ, additional Kill gain boost and a Mid Shape (mid scoop or hump) switch, ensures that the NATAS Distortion brings the authentic Fortin tone to a dirt pedal, for the very first time.

Unleash Pure Sonic Chaos with the Fortin NATAS Pedal: where raw power meets relentless clarity. Are you ready to harness the darkness?

The finer details...

Controls

On: True bypass, relay based soft footswitch - NATAS will power up in the same state it was powered off.
Kill: Adds an extra gain stage; it can get pretty crazy - in the best possible way.
Bass: Active circuitry, controls how much bass is added, or taken away.
Mid: Active circuitry, adjusts how much mid range is present, or taken away.
Treble: Active circuitry, controls the High frequencies.
Girth and Grind: Tone shaping happens here; both of these excite specific frequencies that can make your tone spring to life - almost feels like the strings are bouncing under your fingers.
Mid Shape: Places an EQ curve across the base tone to give that more modern, scooped tone or a more classic mid hump. Use this to tighten up your tone with the Hump or totally thrash out with the Scoop setting.

Technical

Built in U.S.A.;
Highest grade materials selected for superior sound, response and reliability;
Industry standard DPDT relay true bypass switching;
9vDC center-pin negative (fully regulated) external adapter/power supply only (not included);
Power draw: 150mA @9vDC (NATAS is a power hungry, devil of a beast, to awaken; and requires a minimum input draw (aka inrush current) of 600mA to power up. Once it’s on, the pedal will then only require a steady 150mA draw.)
Pedal Dimensions (W/D/H): 4.8” x 2.64” x 1.6” (122mm x 67mm x 39.5mm) excluding knobs and switches;
Shipping Weight: 0.4kg
Includes Fortin’s limited 1-year warranty;
Ships globally – all published prices are USD.

Due to the nature of the circuit, the NATAS distortion pedal requires a minimum input draw of 600mA to power up. Once on, the pedal will draw around 150mA

Frequently asked Questions

How much power does the NATAS need?

The NATAS is quite power hungry which is why there is no battery clip - a battery would last about an hour, max.

To power up the NATAS, the pedal needs an initial 'spike' of around 600mA, but once it is up and running, it will draw about 150mA.

It is vitally important you power the NATAS with a high quality power supply!

Is the EQ active or passive?

The EQ is a hugely responsive 3 band active EQ, so you don't just cut frequencies, you can add them!

Is the pedal the same as the amp?

Mike got as close as he could to the tone, and most importantly, the feel of the amp. If you are to run the NATAS into the power section of a NATAS amp, or even into the IR section of the Neural DSP NTS suite, the tonal differences are extremely hard to hear.

Where are Fortin Pedals made?
