The absolute best noise gate I have ever used.
Very precise noise gate. Worth the cost, especially for live performances.

73 reviewsThe Fortin HexDrive brings new tone shaping possibilities for today’s heavy musician.
The HexDrive feature set will appeal to every tonal connoisseur with a familiar, yet unique, combination of everything needed. The HexDrive transitions from clean boost into overdrive delivering the best of both worlds.
The gain sweep is where it is at.... it's not just a gain control, the gain doesn't add dirt until about 10-11 o clock. With this, you can drive the front end of your amp - cleaner to at first - allowing you to enjoy your amps natural character, and then at higher gain settings on the pedal, you get a sweet midrange push that takes your tone to a whole new level.
With a higher output than a typical OD pedal, with additional headroom and an irregular style of clipping, this pedal gives an outstanding blend of both boost and overdrive - all wrapped up in one easy to use pedal.
Recently I've been bought the HEXDRIVE®, so my primary thoughts about this great pedal is:
1. Idea to combine clean boost and overdrive into single pedal, without needing to push a buttons when need to add some dirt to sound, simple turn the drive knob and all that you want is done.
2. Tone control, that has a bit different meaning than in traditional TS9/OD808 based overdrive, that shifts a mid frequencies whey you turining it clockwise. In some cases I need to make mids scooped ( for example to make bright amps less bright), or push mids-mid highs to front when playing downtuned or with baritones.
Im using the HEXDRIVE with my Mesa DualRec and with Peavey 6505, so I think I've a lot of sound discoveries during combining it and my amps. Highly recommend to buy, if you want to obtain a pedal, which you might able to use as boost/overdrive with ability to sculpt your mids as you desire.
Paired with the Zuul+ finally found the sound I’ve been chasing for decades.
I love the overdrive... my amp sound better !
HEXDRIVE®
Awesome OD pedal! I quit trying to use any FX pedals almost 25 years ago when pedal technology was not so great, and just never cared to try any of them again. They (all types of pedals) have come a long way since then. In general conversation, a buddy recently recommended I get a Fortin ZUUL, and the Hexdrive, for smoothing-out my Rectifiers’ tone, and taming the high gain hiss, since I run very heavy gain, and this combo did not disappoint. I got them both dialed in, which took less than 5 minutes to find the sweetspots for the settings to get the tone I wanted, and it sounds great. Highly recommend the Hexdrive (and the ZUUL) for smoothing out your high gain tone.
Proudly built in the U.S.A.
Real life version that first appeared in the Neural DSP Nameless Suite
Clean or Dirty boost, it's all in the HexDrive
Top jacks for tidy pedal boards
Although the Hex Drive shares similar heritage to the humble TS, it is far apart from the regular little green box.
When the first Fortin NeuralDSP product was released, Mike wanted to boost the signal going into it but he didn't want to put a regular TS in front. With this in mind he designed his variation of that circuit and the clever people at NeuralDSP made it digital... due to public demand we created a physical version from Mike's design!
The gain sweep starts clean, but about 10-11 o'clock it starts to apply dirt to the signal.
