This should come to no-one's surprise that the Meshuggah pedal absolutely excels at delivering tight metal tones at extremely low tunings. I even place an HM-2 pedal before the Meshuggah and it still gives me the clarity I seek when I drop to B-standard. I prefer to have my pedalboard in front of a slightly driven amp, and this pedal is absolutely killer when used like this. This is my go-to for low-tuned death metal.
This pedal is one of the most versatile eq pedals I’ve ever experienced. The Plexi & JCM 800 tones sound fantastic! So many tones are available with the different brightness settings on each gain stage. And, the pedal can sound very different when pushed into the red channel. The classic Fortin Saturation (a more modern metal tone) that sounds different from the Natas pedal and Meshuggah tones (equally as good, just different).
