The Spliff is a 3-way signal splitter with discrete Class-A buffers with one output transformer isolated with phase side-switch. Putting the Spliff before and after your pedal board reinstates your tone and removes all the top end loss (capacitance) that running a board full of true bypass pedals will inflict on your tone.
With 3 outputs, the Spliff is the perfect companion for the mini Zuul® or Zuul®+, just plug in one of the outputs to the ‘Key In’ on the Zuul®+ and your original, clean, guitar signal will be the one controlling the Zuul®+. A mind blowing amount of options are available to you with the Spliff, not only can you trigger your gate, but you can send one signal to your amp and another to the interface so you are recording the signal before it hits amp saturation - with this additional control, you can re-amp the guitar afterwards to ensure it is sitting perfectly in your mix. You can also run multiple amps simultaneously, making your tone bigger than it has ever sounded.
OUT 3 is transformer-isolated with phase switch. To make your life as simple as possible, the tuner out is always ‘on’ allowing you to not only tune quickly, but make sure your dive-bombs hit the perfect exit note. The Roach is an exceptionally low-current circuit and can be run on a 9vdc battery for the longest time, or an external power supply can be used via the DC inlet, between 9-24vdc.
Indicator Green LED for active, Red LED mutes OUT 1-3.
A mosfet input protects if the wrong orientation adapter is connected, no more damage internally (the pedal will not power up).

Wow didn’t expect such a tone difference. My 5150 stealth 50w no longer has a lot of sizzle either at low volumes.

Unexpected Tone Enhancement
This thing is magic. I replaced an excellent buffered splitter, (keying my Zuul), with the Spliff because I wanted to get my TU-3 out of my signal chain. Like any musician, I'm particular about tone; the Spliff, for lack of a better way to describe it, brought my board to life. Remember that time when you bought that pedal that you really wanted and you sat there in your practice space, not playing anything in particular, just listening to the tones? You'll do that all over again with all of your pedals after plugging the Spliff into your signal chain. Everything is more vibrant. That, and the additional outputs give you more options for cable routing which is appreciated. I would definitely buy this again.
Not only do you get an awesome buffer (see below). You also get a transformer isolated output on the third out. This will make it much easier to run multiple amps and deal with any phase issues that may arise. You also have a dedicated tuner out!
What does a buffer actually do?
In a nutshell, the signal is changed from hi impedance to low impedance.... this will halt signal degradation happening down cables, and restore the full tonal glory of your instrument.
How do I run the Spliff with the Zuul?
You would go into the Spliff, take one out put in to the key input of the Zuul, then take another out put to the rest of your signal chain. This was the Zuul only hears what your guitar is doing and nothing else. You can also run the third out put to a tuner...
