The Roach is a 3-way signal splitter with discrete Class-A buffers. Putting the Roach before and after your pedal board reinstates your tone and removes all the top end loss (capacitance) that running a board full of true bypass pedals will inflict on your tone.
With 3 outputs, the Roach is the perfect companion for the Mini Zuul® or Zuul®+, just plug in one of the outputs to the ‘Key In’ on the Zuul® and your original, clean, guitar signal will be the one controlling the Zuul®. A mind blowing amount of options are available to you with the Roach, not only can you trigger your gate, but you can send one signal to your amp and another to the interface so you are recording the signal before it hits amp saturation - with this additional control, you can re-amp the guitar afterwards to ensure it is sitting perfectly in your mix. You can also run multiple amps simultaneously, making your tone bigger than it has ever sounded.
The Roach is an exceptionally low-current circuit and can be run on a 9vdc battery for the longest time, or an external power supply can be used via the DC inlet, between 9-24vdc.
A mosfet input protects if the wrong orientation adapter is connected, no more damage internally (the pedal will not power up).

Roach's small footprint is great, not more tech than I need, although I do have an extra out if I need it!!!
I'm using it on a mono pedal board I use in my living room and wanted to add the ZUUL Mini and fully utilize the key in as well as keep my separate tuner in available.
These two items shipped right away and couldn't be happier!
Fortin kills it again!!! \m/

FANTASTIC FORTIN GEAR!!
Love this in front of any of my different board setups. Super slick job working with the zuul. Flawless front end for any stomp board. The 24 volt option makes for HUGE headroom. If u want thundering sound, it literally starts with the roach. Way too go fortin!!!!

Perfect
I use 2 roachs and 1 zuul on my set. thx for perfect transaction.
In a nutshell, the signal is changed from hi impedance to low impedance.... this will halt signal degradation happening down cables, and restore the full tonal glory of your instrument.
How do I run the Roach with the Zuul?
You would go into the Roach, take one out put in to the key input of the Zuul, then take another out put to the rest of your signal chain. This was the Zuul only hears what your guitar is doing and nothing else. You can also run the third out put to a tuner...
Can I use multiple amps with the Roach?
You sure can... you can make a stereo amp rig quickly and easily using the Roach!
