This pedal sounds great! End of story. I’ve seen some weak comments about how no one is using it to play Meshuggah riffs in playthroughs. So what? This one is good for everything! Anyway, here’s my clean tone….
This is the cleanest, most articulate and responsive preamp pedal I have ever heard. I got the Natas pedal the day it came out and have been so happy with it. I was hoping that Fortin would make this pedal and there it was. Seriously, if that is the sound you want, this is THE pedal. Just wicked brutal. And the added Zuul is a bonus. Razor sharp and clean cut without sounding unnatural. The pedal gives the right voice for what you want to say with your axe, in the most obliterating way.
I recently purchased, the Meshuggah Pre-Amp Pedal. I’m a big fan of Meshuggah, but a bigger fan of the products Mike Fortin creates.
Using it as a pre-amp, for my modded Randall MTS head with KT88 tubes. It sounds phenomenal, excellent build quality and exceeded my expectations.

I’m running mine through the FX return of my 5150 EL34 iconic paired with a traditional Mesa 4x12 and it sound absolutely insane. I love the amp paired with the Fortin 33 but the Meshuggah preamp takes it into an entirely different realm. I don’t get all the hate surrounding this pedal. Mike Fortin knows what he’s doing and I hope he keeps doing it. Excellent product!
