It does a much better job than my TC Electronics Sentry. It seems to tame the noise and hiss coming from my Friedman Pink Taco more precisely and clamps down on it much quicker using 4 cable method. I was however hoping that the ground lift feature would accomplish more.
First time using a preamp pedal and was skeptical. Plugging this in a clean tube power amp gave me some of my favourite tones for my 7 and 8 string guitars. I consider this now my secret weapon for my extended range guitars!
I’ve never been happier with a boost/overdrive pedal before. I run a baritone into this, then into a Dark Terror and it tightens up the low end enough to do any flavor of modern metal you can hope for and is voiced perfectly. I also tried the “under-driving” method using the flat-eq setting and that was cool because it tightened everything up without shaving off hardly any low-end. Awesome tool to have on my pedal board. Killed any desire to look elsewhere for a boost/od.
Best boost on the market. Love the preset EQ curve on this pedal. It also stacks nicely with everything. Well done Fortin! Thank you!
