Many years ago, back in the "forum days", Mike met and became friends with Dan Gower, who at the time was an up-and-coming modder. They quickly became good friends and between them, over the period of years, they worked together to make one of the most popular mods for them both, The Killer Kali.
The module, designed by Mike and the crazy genius' at Synergy Amps, have replicated the intricate gain structures and features of the Fortin Cali Amp, that was born from the mods designed by Mike and Dan.

They have MANY modules available, including a signature Steve Vai Module, modules from Friedman, Soldano, Bogner, Fryette, Peavey, Diezel and many more. They boast an impressive artist rota including Fredrik Akesson (Opeth), Javier Reyes (Animals as Leaders) to name but a few.
The Killer Kali is a two channel pre-amp, designed to work exclusively in the Synergy Amp systems. Each channel is completely independent and enjoys it's own tone stack and multiple tone shaping features.
Gain 1 and Gain 2 - Cascaded gain stages, with 3 way bright switch for each gain control.
Bright Switches - At the top, is the brightest, most aggressive tone. The bright switch is directly connected to the gain control so the higher you have the gain, the less the bright tends to affect the tone (similar to the bright control on a standard Plexi Amp). In the centre it is full range, so is unaffected by the gain control. At the bottom position, the brightness is similar to the classic bright control on an 800 2203.
Violence Switch - in the down position, it utilizes the three gain stages, when up it brings in an additional tube gain stage.
Sat (saturation) Switch - Down, no change. Up, adds another clipping circuit that increases compression and gain.
EQ Shape - a three way switch that changes the points of the EQ. Up is a typical M style tone stack, the centre is more F style (more scooped) and then all the way down is "somewhere inbetween" - shifting up the treble and midrange.
